Reminders on the procedure

IMPORTANT: The referral to the Mediator must be made within one year from the consumer’s written complaint to the professional. This referral can intervene in case of a negative answer or absence of response from the professional within 60 days.

Upon receipt of a request for mediation, the MTV considers its admissibility. If the application is not admissible, the applicant is informed within 3 weeks of receipt of his file.

It should be noted that the parties have the opportunity to be represented or assisted by a third party at all stages of the proceedings.

The mediator’s opinions are based on legal considerations, including the Tourism Code, the Consumer Code, and international transport texts and treaties, but also considerations of fairness.

The mediator issues a conclusion within 90 days from the date of admissibility of the file.

Requests and the mediation process can be in French or English.
